Primanti Brothers Restaurant Review

Primanti Brothers is a must-make pilgrimage for residents and visitors alike. Opened in the '30s as a late-night food trough and watering hole for produce dock workers in the Strip District, today it's a Pittsburgh institution---even though the owners have chained the concept. At here for lunch while in town for conference at UPMC. Group of 4. "Pittsburgher". Would have preferred the fries to be seperate, rather than incorporated into sandwich. Burger comes in white bread, not bun. Staff friendly, happy and efficient. Adequate but not a place I will suggest we go back to.

Unique and a must do

Last time many years ago I went to the one in the Strip. This one has a great old look and atmosphere. Basic stuff at a decent price and good beers on tap. Not sure how you can visit Pittsburgh and not take in one of these establishments.

The Extras: The fries are natural and rank in the top five in the city--just watch when ordering it as a side because it's a huge serving.
