I opened an ETA account at Point Loma Credit Union. I wasn't given any information, written materials, etc., just a receipt and a paper with my account # on it.

I would recommend joining this branch because credit unions offer most of the same benefits as banks, and this particular credit union has very friendly staff. I've gone here for 8 years. Their CDs are wonderful. The only issue I've had with them is it is not possible to do a same day direct wire transfer because they must go through a third party (the fed) before they can make a transfer. All...
