Why are there no honest, affordable plumbers in Susanville? It was a simple job: replace a faucet, a project which normally takes 30 to 40 minutes... I even supplied all the hoses and the faucet itself! Well, he takes an hour, charges me for an hour and fifteen minutes, tacks on a $75 service charge, and voila! It cost $217 for him to spend one hour putting in a faucet! Whatever. Someday, I will find an honest plumber... but this guy? Nope.

He spends an hour putting in the faucet that I supplied... and charged me over $200! So, his ""official"" rate of $95 an hour is just a teaser, cos he added on 15 minutes of time and a $75 ""service charge""... what? Maybe, someday, I will find an honest plumber... but this guy ISN'T him.

I had Chuck Swetland of Pine Street Plumbing come over to my house on 1/11/11 to replace the faucet in my bathroom (I supplied all the parts). He advertises his rates as "$95 an hour", and, since I have installed faucets myself, I knew the job would take 45 minutes to an hour at most. Chuck came in the door at 1105am and finished at 1205pm.
