Photographer Louis Sahuc's family has been in New Orleans "since day one," so it's no wonder his life's work has been documenting his city. This gallery is devoted to his photos of iconic images (such as Jackson Square swathed in fog, or fragments of the ironwork and other architecture that gives New Orleans its distinct look), in black-and-white and color.

The Oysters were very big but absolutely tasteless, they had obviously been frozen. The service was good and the waitress we had was friendly but barstaff and other staff do not acknowledge you, or seem friendly. Bretts meal was a seafood meal and was average. Drinks were ok

Had the Gumbo, was not the best, ok. Believe they are popular for oysters. Service was very good. Was busy, could be a good local spot.

A classic with nothing but fresh

We liked this place for its old-time, old-school subway-tiled atmosphere, but everything in the place sparkles, the service is impeccable, and the oysters are the freshest you have ever had! Easy to find, right on the corner across the street from the city offices.
