Most of my family is buried there. Soon enough, I will be too, along with my cousins. It's very nice and kindof comforting to know you will rest with your ancestors. Unfortunately, the name is a bit misleading because it is quite a few miles west of Philadelphia proper; it was founded by people from that city looking for space for themselves and their families.
I found out through some Genealogy research that my Great Grandparents and several of their family had been removed from the Old German Lutheren cemetery in Philadelphia and reintered at this place in a separate section of the cemetery. When I asked for information about the burial site I was directed to the section but there were no visable grave markers. After digging in the turf at some low places about four inches down I found brass plaques for some of the people buried there. I spent hours looking and digging for my Grandparents with no results. Prepaid lot? No problem unless you happened to want to be buried on a Saturday. If this is the case, add 20% additional expense. $2500 for the lots, $585 for Saturday internment.
These people are disgusting, high pressure sales to the grieving, nickle and dime you to death....oh, that's their business model!
