Best downtown pet store

I have been going to this Pet Bar location for three years, and I love the store and staff. They are all animal lovers themselves and are always able to answer my questions about products. When I moved about 10 blocks away, I found out they have free delivery! Now I call in my orders instead of going to the store.

I don't live in the neighborhood but I work long hours there, and it is great to be able to get the specialty foods I feed my pets when I know I can't get to the store in my neighborhood. This place has a great selection of premium pet foods at competetive prices, and they deliver. I don't know what the first reviewer is talking about -- I have never had any trouble communicating with anyone at the store, but I guess some people have trouble with accents or something. It is hard to find a place to shop for pet supplies that is not a big chain and that carries the better brands, and this...

The place was recommended to me by fellow dog owners. I went in and could barely turn around in the isle, it's so tiny! The prices are okay, the selection is good for a place this size, but there is one big defect. The guy who was manning the place barely spoke English, so he couldn't answer my questions. One of the things I look for in a pet store is knowledgeable staff, and it's difficult to assess somebody's knowledge when you have trouble communicating over the concept of a game of ""tug."" I'm all for multilingualism, but some jobs are better for people who speak poor English than...
