An “ever-changing”, “fantastic beer selection on tap” complements “surprisingly sophisticated” American grub at Joe Varalli’s second-story pub overlooking the Avenue of the Arts; “friendly” service, “nice views from the huge windows” and a “cute” bird-themed decor all give it a “homey”, “relaxing” feel.
Awesome 1/2 price draft list for happy hour in a very centrally convenient spot. Nice view of Broad St in the dining room.
The Tinga-nachos rule, thanks to the addition of chipotle sauce, shredded chicken and avocado.
Very convenient to Academy and avenue of the arts attractions. Good for quick dinner. Bar very noisy.
We always enjoy dining at the Perch Pub! The front room seating is particularly enjoyable because of the second floor view onto the busy city streets. The restaurant is cozy and has a constant flow of customers. It's crowded during the dinner hours with a lively bar that is tucked away in the back. The food is varied and plenty. We tend to enjoy the hot sandwiches/burgers, but have had...
We love Perch Pub. It is our favorite neighborhood go-to spot. The food and service are consistently good. The view overlooking Broad Street is great. I understand the building has been sold and they may relocate. I hope it is in the same neighborhood. It would be a great loss if they went elsewhere.
Had NYE dinner here. Our server Jeffrey was fantastic. We often come to the bar here but it was our first time bringing a large group for dinner. Worked perfectly. Manager was very accommodating when I had to add two people to the reservation the night prior.
Having dined at the old "Upstares" at Varalli, and finding it to be OK but nothing special, I barely noticed when they closed, and took no note of the latest tenants of the space. Foolish of me, since this is a really nice spot for excellent, uncomplicated dining, especially before the growing number of theatrical attractions in the thriving Avenue of the Arts section. Great food, attentive...

Perch above Broad and Locust Streets with a 180 view. Large selection of craft beers on tap, 100+ bottle beer list a full bar and an American-inspired menu.
Perch Pub has been completely renovated into a comfortable, relaxed, unpretentious pub. The dining room and bar has one of the best dining views in the city for people watching- separate areas for a pool table and dart board. Other amenities include a juke box, HDTVs and a large drop-down projection screen in the dining room for those big games. The interior has the feel of a time-less pub;...
Perch Pub as the name itself is an elevated gastropub, with floor to ceiling windows over Broad and Locust Streets and overlooking Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts. Serving scrumptious American infused comfort food, Perch is a no attitude pub with a lot of warmth. With rich wooden finishes and exposed brick and metal, the pub beams with a timeless aura. Apart from the great people watching...
