the best Malaysian cuisine in Los Angeles

So it's a bit of a drive for most people living west of the 110, but you're almost back in Malaysia when you eat here. This is the only place I know that actually makes its own fresh roti chanai every day, rather than using the frozen packaged stuff. They even keep up with the random specialty creations that only Malaysians can think up, dishes like the melt-in-your-mouth Buttered Prawns. This is real Malaysian, folks, not the icky Indo-Thai stuff that masquerades as Malaysian at other places.

The Red Gingham

Beef Rendang. Tender beef cubes cooked in a stew of spices in a thick sauce. Rich and thick, the sauce sticks to the beef. It has a bold combination of spices that I cannot identify...

Good but not authentic insiderpages.com

Pretty good Malaysian restaurant with interesting decor. The flavor is unique but not really authentic. But still pretty tasty.
