We opened Pegasus in the heart of Chicago's Greektown neighborhood in 1990. Our goal was to educate diners about the delights of Greek cuisine. While many people thought Greek cuisine was unhealthy, today that perception has changed. The many ingredients indiginous to Greece, such as extra virgin olive oil, seafood and a variety of plant-based foods, are now known to provide many health...

The rooftop at Pegasus is a charming surprise! The Chicago skyline looms almost within reach; the live Greek band is evocative (of what? -- you decide); and the only thing served up here is appetizers (like octopus and squid marinated in olive oil, lemon, and herbs), which are satisfying enough to make a meal of. It may just be the best summer hideaway in all of Chicago, if you`re looking for...

For a group of four or more, the family-style menu can be a good choice. For $21.95 per person, you get three appetizers, one salad, three entrees and one dessert.
The Scene The light, airy dining room glows with murals of vivid blue seas and color-dotted white buildings. But, when the weather cooperates, Pegasus' main attraction is its rooftop patio, which can accommodate more than 150 diners. We had a reservation on a saturday night but from the looks of the place...

We had very high expections for this restaurant. I had promised my daughter that we would eat at the Pegasus on our next trip to Chicago. That was six years ago. In all she has waited for 10 years to eat there.
We could not have been more pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. It was worth the wait! It was my daughter's twenty fifth birthday, so we flew to Chicago mainly to eat...

This restaurant is not a good choice for vegetarians. The menu does not always indicate that an entree contains meat. More annoyingly, even when asked, the wait staff may not tell you, either. Before ordering an entree salad topped with stuffed grape leaves, I asked our waiter whether it contained meat or fish, to which he answered "no." However, the grape leaves were stuffed with meat. ...
