Pearl Paint has a decent selection of art supplies, as well a nice craft section. There are 3 floors of arty goodness awaiting you. In general, I have found the staff to be quite helpful and knowledgeable, and have never had a problem finding staff or asking for help. Pearl is pretty unreliable for having anything in stock but often has useful sales on acrylic paint and the like. The staff has more piercings and tattoo's than any other store in central and the store usually plays good music.

Prices and stock are better at Artist and Craftsman Supply across the street.

PROS: nice staff, big store
CONS: always out of stock, expensive

Although this selection is wide at Pearl, often the supplies are in disarray and items are frequently discontinued. Although the staff is friendly, they are often unaware of the stock.
