Business Description from the Web
Aurora is still a contender in Dallas's superheated dining universe: an intimate, Paris-style food shrine where globe-trotting gourmets can deconstruct a celebrity chef's riffs on cutting-edge culinary techniques. Aurora even adds an element of performance art: You enter the minimalist, 12-table dining room through a velvet curtain to find Avner Samuel and his all-star staff showing off their...

The Scene A dozen tables fill this small, romantic restaurant. This time, he does it at a little jewel box of a restaurant called Aurora. It seats just 50 people and declares its refinement with such elements as Limoges china, Christofle...

Aurora is mostly Dallas deluxe, from the floor-to-ceiling curtains that separate you from the mundane world outside to the tuxedoed waitstaff there to coddle patrons lucky enough to have snagged one of the dozen or so tables at this little jewel. The staff is discreet and knowledgeable, having mastered the art of being there exactly when you need them then magically disappearing to let you...

Other Reviews from the web
With so many high quality restaurants in Dallas, each needs something to make it stand apart and make you want to come back for more. While Aurora's food is good, so are many restaurants in this city. I don't mind the small portions, as I am tired of places where the portions are overwhelming for a normal person. However, the prices are on the ridiculous side for the quality. Also, there...

I went to Aurora for their $18 three-course lunch. I was pleased to see that the atmosphere had been given a face lift and felt fresh and revived.
The food and service thankfully remained at the same level you would expect from Aurora. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. We finished the meal full and happy with money left in our wallets. A great deal and may be the best kept...

I stopped in for lunch recently, and it was very nice. I upgraded the salad to the one with duck and rabbit, and it was great. Their wild mushroom plate is great--very flavorful and lots of different kinds of mushrooms. This is probably the best deal in town.
Pros
+ great value at lunch
