This towering inferno of hamburgers is an East Village classic. With crazy-quilt decor and some of the best (and biggest) burgers in NYC, it belongs on every itinerary. There are two types of burgers, fried and flame-broiled, and I usually prefer the flame-broiled. However the burger at Paul's is one of very few fried burgers I love. It's juicy and greasy, but in a good way. It's not that overly greasy taste that leaves you gagging, but rather a good greasiness that makes the burger juicy and yummy.
