I am a graduate student at penn state. Parkway is very cheap as far as state college rent goes. *NO PETS ALLOWED* There is a cata bus route very close which is pretty good if you arrive early. Supermarket right across the street which is convenient. The quality of apartments is OK, but expect weird carpet stains, paint and odd smells. With all said, Parkway draws mostly international students....

Move-in: their leases start on a Friday and end on a Monday to allow the apartment to be turned around. Well, mine wasn’t turned around. I later learned that this was because their entire cleaning and maintenance crew had quit. The new crew did eventually get things cleaned. You will pay a $600 activity fee. Presumably, this goes towards the pool (which is open from around April to September)...

Good for the price

I have lived here over a year and just resigned for another year. All bills are included which is very convenient and you get free extended cable and high speed internet. It is very quiet and has prompt maintenance. Only con is there are no washer and drier hook ups but there is a laundry room on every floor. Excellent Place to Live

Although from the outside of the building and inside the hallways it is apparent that it could use some work, it is excellent to live at. Rooms are very spacious and rent is very affordable. Furniture included in apartment for minimal expense and all utilities/cable/sewage included in one check payment to rent. Gives peace of mind knowing only one payment is due.

worst apartments ever

I have lived in many apartments before and parkway plaza is absolutely the worst one.
(1) they turn on the air conditioning very late. It's June now and they still have no plan to turn it on yet. I called them many times and always got the answer "I don't know".

(2) In the hot summer, the air conditioning stops working frequently.

(3) very noisy.

(4) forget about your deposit. They will take...
