What the community has to say about Papa Cristo's Catering & Greek Taverna

Information about this business (7)

Where low prices and highly satisfying Greek fare meet.

Unlike traditional florists, we take our inspiration from the seasons, not just the holidays. Viburnum and lilac in the spring, zinnias and sunflowers during the heat of summer, berries, fruits and vegetables, and interesting foliage in the fall and winter.

We like to purchase fresh flowers, greens and herbs from local farmers. In season, fruits and vegetables join flowers in our arrangements....

Sam Chrys opened the market in 1948 with intentions to bring the foods and wines of Greece to Los Angeles . He did so by importing all products from Greece while still maintaining a low price to his valued customers and friends. C & K Importing Company grew into a market where all ethnicities come to visit and always enjoy the purity of the product assortment.

Catered an incredible Greek party for me!

I had to organize a party a while ago for some co-workers and myself, and Papa Cristos was recommended to me. I was very glad it was! The party was a huge success, and everyone raved about the Greek food for at least a week afterwards. Papa Cristos also supplied us with some CDs so we had Greek music for our party, and that was a huge hit too in creating ambience and something a little bit different. And Papa Cristos service was very professional - on time, fair price, etc. I highly recommend them for a unique, fun, and tasty catering experience!

Papa Cristos Taverna Restaurant Review

True, it has little of the romance of the island of Mykonos, but Papa Cristos offers three lamb chops with roasted potatoes, a Greek salad and fluffy house-made pita for a reasonable price, which is why this order-at-the-counter taverna is such a draw. We savor the massive plates of highly seasoned, garlicky gyros served with cool tzatziki, flaky spanakopita (spinach pies) and the chicken...

Greek taverna of homemade fried saganaki cheese, tzatziki, gyros, and spanikopita in the land of pupusas. All together now: ohhh-pah!! Small café has little room for owner's huge personality; watch it or you might get adopted. Fresh market attachment for all things Greek. Settle down guys, not ALL things Greek. Feta fantasies and baklava bent get sated. Family night is full of table dancing,...

Great food, fun atmosphere

Had a late lunch here with family recently. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Expect to stand in line to order your food, grab your number and try to find a table (even though a Sunday afternoon, it was quick to get a table).
The Moussaka was prepared the way I had it in Greece - in an individual dish...

Extremely good, well prepared authentic Greek food

Where or how to order wasn't immediately obvious of you go in through the back entrance. It's semi fast-food style, but not fast food. You order, pay, then they take it to your table. I got the kebab souvlaki. The meat was perfectly prepared and was wonderful, and the Greek pita was exceedingly fresh and delicious. The potato spice was...
