I live in the building so it's very convenient to drop in for a delicious bagel or sandwich but I am repeatedly astonished at how horrible the service is! The cashiers seem confused whether or not an item is available. Some of them are obnoxious. Twice, both times around 7:30am, they have been out of brewed coffee!! They have alot of wasteful packaging and when you are commuting as I am it...

Panera Bread orgins are back in St. Louis when they opened as the St. Louis Bread Company, as nice little cafes winning various awards for their breads around the USA. The two owners became millionaires when they sold it to the Panera Company. Some things have changed, but the bakery items are what I enjoy.
