Business Description from the Web
Georges Laforge's repeatedly voted Best Romantic Gourmet Restaurant in Las Vegas will transport you from the streets of Sin City to a French countryside inn. Don't get too full from the olives and fresh bread served at every table because the regular menu is the true treat. Try starting with the Sea Scallops appetizer. This romantic hideaway is in a converted house just a block off the Strip. There is no menu; the waiter simply recites the daily specials. You start with a Riviera-style salad: a large basket of fresh vegetables and a vinaigrette house dip. Among appetizer choices are fresh shrimp scampi, scallops, soft- shell clams, escargots, shallots and an outstanding fettuccine. Entree choices may include...

Editorial Reviews from the web

Pamplemousse is tucked away in a fringe area of East Sahara near Paradise Road. The room is a flashback to 1950's Las Vegas. The fettucine a la Georges was a winner as were the duck breast and confit. Service is good but less formal than in many fine restaurants. Worth a visit

We were hassled IN THE PARKING LOT by a homeless man. After a really pushy conversation while my wife was standing right next to me, I was so agitated I had a hard time enjoying the food. Service was average, nothing exemplary. We mentioned to one of the waiters about the situation outside, and he said he would take care of it. After dinner was over, we came back out, and he was still there.
