It's fun & it's cheap

This isn't going to be he best food you've ever tasted. But it's off-the-wall and the food is cheap.

A meal for 2, including appetizers and drinks cost $28.

Outstanding Selection of Thai Food

Palms Thai Restaurant has over a hundred exotic choices to eat. In addition to Pad Thai, Panang and all of the standard Thai fare, Palms has exotic choices such as wild boar, fried catfish, papaya pok pok, etc. The menu is huge, so you will definitely find something you want. It's great for parties, too, since Thai Elvis sings there!

Yummy thai food

It's not the most consistent of places for the service, but we've had always had good luck with the food here. The menu is big enough that most diners would be proud, so there should be something for just about anyone. :-)

The place is Really Big and a bit loud when it's full, but our Saturday lunches have been good.

On weekend nights they have a Thai Elvis, but we've never been there at the right time. The metal/chain Elvis statue they have is really cool though. :-)

The Scene You are now entering the Thai-light Zone. In the heart of Thai Town, Palms is the home of the Thai Elvis (aka Kevin), complete with platform shoes and flashy Vegas suits. At first, he seems over-the-top kitsch, but a few songs later, you'll realize he's actually quite good. Thanks to him, what used to be a low-key Thai dinner club scene now attracts a number of Hollywood hipsters ... more

Palms Restaurant is home to the famous Thai Elvis . Frankly, I think hes a pain. I just want to eat my yummy authentic Thai dinner, and the entertainment, combined with the long family-style tables, lends a loud, chaotic carnival atmosphere to the restaurant. The food rocks though, and you have to try the palm juice . It tastes like drinking a sugar cookie. Amazing. It should be noted ... more

Truly horrible food -- disintegrating shrimp in the TomYum, chicken that could have been any other meat under the sun, ghastly in all ways. I actually liked the service -- there was a very sweet person who took our order. But I'll never go near this place again. Try Pink Pepper on LaBrea -- that's real Thai and only a mile or two away.

This food is really bad. Tasteless, bland, horrible. The service is even worse: rude, slow, and dumb. Never go here. There are so many better places.

I've been here several times and their Pad Thai is still my favorite in the area. Their lunch specials are so inexpensive and very filling. Also, at night, their entertaining "Thai Elvis" is wonderful. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a nice staff, nice environment (quiet in the day, fun at night), and great food for not that much money.

my wife and i love Thai food and while passing Palm Thai we noticed a big room with a large crowd eating so we pulled in, As we entered the parking garage the only place to park) we were stopped by the valet who informed us that we have to leave our keys so we couldnt take off without paying, I wish we would have declined and left at that point, They were pretty rude too, We walked into a large loud ... more
