THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sahara Buffet Restaurant Review

The décor of the Sahara’s mammoth 900-seat buffet remains among the resort’s few public-area reminders of its African roots. Old-world Egyptian architecture, art and artifacts create a comfortable ambience for this Las Vegas dining tradition. Fresh fruits are also offered at the salad bar, along with good soups such as beef barley and chicken noodle. Other crowd-pleasers include assorted...

R.I.P. I'll miss you and all of your kinda gross/super cheap old school Las Vegas weirdness.

It has been a while since my wife and I ate here. It was March of 1997 that
we had dinner here. This restaurant is in the Sahara Hotel and Casino,
one of the older places on the strip.

While the place is starting to look its age, we both enjoyed a steak dinner
at a very reasonable price. No, the ambience is nothing special; it
was a little noisy (aren't all casinos loud?) but the waitstaff
was...

We stopped at the Sahara just to sleep on our way to California
and decided to have a buffet breakfast to save time. It was cheap
and good. I would never have expected to have fried chicken and
chinese food as part of my breakfast, but hey, in LAs Vegas they
don't ever really know what time it is I guess. We had nice
hand made omellettes and all kinds of other breakfast lunch and
dinner...

I haven't been here for dinner, but have eaten brunch here
twice. Both times is was really pretty good for a casino buffet.

Price was cheap, food was plentiful and there wasn't a huge
line... less than 15 minutes to be seated I think. Wide variety
for any appetite.
