The place is decorated like an episode of Mami Vice circa 1980's. Lots of hidden expenses. I.E Valet parking is $40/night!!!! Rooms were grungy and small. Honesty, I'm amazed at all the positive feedback. Either people are lowering their standards or someone's self-posting.

The Onyx is in a great location. It is in close proximity to the TD Banknorth Garden and the North End, with all its fine dining choices. Our room was a deluxe, a little on the small side, but very clean and was decorated in a funky contemporary style. The staff were professional and friendly.
My exceptional experience at the Onyx started when I booked my room at the hotel. After much research, which led me to the (mostly) great reviews, I booked it at a reasonable price.
