This former carriage house in the Freemason section of the city has been delightfully decorated with eclectic prints and fabrics. Downstairs is chatty and bustling, while upstairs is a bit more reserved. Service here is personable and prompt. The menu offers entrees such as fresh fish and other Mediterranean-inspired choices. Desserts made on the premises are out of this world. Sunday brunch.

One of Norfolk's best bistros, this unique eatery serves an array of eclectic and contemporary cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere with specials on the menu changing seasonally and often having Moroccan accents. I had a hard time finding this restaurant but then again I'm geographically challenged. Excellent dinner for a quiet night with a date or friends. A place where you can sit and chat and not feel rushed. Excellent food, huge variety. Reasonable prices for entrees $15 - $23. Interesting history about the restaurant as well!

Dinner, 5-6-06. The food and atmosphere were good, but the waiter was not engaged and the menu items did not match what was served. I ordered the Low County B-B-Q Shrimp with polenta- no polenta, just greens. The "rack" of lamb with apple dressing was 4 lamb chops with mashed potatoes, no dressing. We just got back from eating Mother's Day Brunch. It was incredible. The menu is definately geared for adult tastes and I have a picky eater. The waitress (wish I had gotten her name) went above and beyond what was expected to accomodate my son.
