The omakase at Amami's is a fantastic deal at around $35. The pieces are generously portioned and the quality fresh. Lines tend to form before they are opened at 5 so if without a reservation, come early to snag a walkin table.

I would have never guessed this whole in the wall sushi spot would have existed in San Bruno of all places. The fish and wasabi are fresh as hell and the portions....MY GAWD. It almost blew my mind how much Alan was giving (especially the UNI) given how fresh all the ingredients he was using was.

TIP: be prepared for a bit of a wait even if you have ressies

THE MOST SUCKIEST SERVICE HERE EVER! They took over AN HOUR to deliver our food when we recieved an email saying our food will arrive at 7:53pm. We call to see if the food is on it's way they said no. We ask if we can pay half price since its already been an hour and the driver obviously didn't leave yet. They said NO. They also said the food will arrive in 10 mins and we ask if he's not here...

You would think a sushi restaurants knows better for food delivery of raw fish. The sashimi was in the same bag with my hot food and by the time it reached me, the thinly sliced sashimi are cooked. A little common sense would mean you pack the raw food that needs to stay cold separate from the hot food.
