Farther down West Street from Loews is this stylish Irish-owned hotel. From the marble-floored lobby to the chic restaurant and lounge to the contemporary Euro-style furniture in the spacious guest rooms, O'Callaghan's whispers low-key luxury -- it would be vulgar to shout it. Found this hotel on TripAdvisor for a one night stay picking my son up from camp. The price was great, and I suggested the hotel to a friend who was bringing kids to camp.
