Built by Louis A. Benoist in the 1850s, the historic Oakland House in Affton currently serves as the meeting place for the Affton Historical Society. The society holds special events at the mansion throughout the year including a Christmas party and an Easter-egg hunt. The Oakland House can also be rented for parties, weddings and luncheons throughout the year.
