A few friends insisted I check this place out and Im so glade i did. I started my meal with a Hass avacado and Riverdog farm beet salad. The beets were marinated in orange juice and roasted. My main course was a macadamia nut encrusted mahi-mahi with mashed yukon gold potatoes and creamed spinach.The fish was moist and the creamed spinach wasn't too heavy; two things that are very delicate....

I stupbled upon a very nice dinning spot right next door to city hall. Inside the Frank H. Ogawa Plaza there are several little know secrets of Oakland including : spaccio men's ware, rising loafer orgainc bakery, and the Oak Plaza restaurant. Oak Plaza blew me away with their concept right at the begining by saying,"there are no specials at Oak Plaza, everything on our menus changes weekly so...

All around enjoyable experience, the food was excellent, i highly recommend the chef's specials!
