Nouveau Place Apartments

Horrible Experience and management

I have had nothing but trouble with these apartments. The apartment is run basicly by a slum lord. The carpet was horrible when we moved in. It took them 2 weeks for to fix the heater and in that time we had a snow storm. I called and complained to the manager and she told me "If it gets too cold you can go stay somewhere else until the snow storm is over". The heater's pilot light kept going out during all this. Because of this fact I kept the window in the bedroom cracked less than a inch just in case. The following morning the manager comes and threatens to evicts us for breaking the special provisions in the lease. To top it all off, this afternoon when I was cooking lunch I accidentally burnt some food and had the window open to air out the apartment. The owner came by and gave us 2 weeks to leave. They are intentionally evicting us 1 week before the lease is up to get the $489.00 reletting charge. I am a disabled Iraqi Freedom veteran and thats a lot of money for me. I have to be out of the apartment by Christmas day. I strongly discourage other people from living here. They are cold, callous and will find a way to rip you off.
