Information about this business (4)

In 1928 after designing around the cypress trees at Cypress Point and amongst the magnolias of Augusta National, Dr. Alister... MacKenzie made a stop along the Russian River and it's majestic Redwood trees. While you may never have the privilege of playing Augusta or Cypress, you can experience Dr. MacKenzie's famed naturally contoured fairways and undulating greens in a magnificent sylvan...

some holes too short

Average Rating

Amazing Cathedral of Golf

Have played here several times on two different trips. Playing among the tall trees is a kick. People are friendly. Greens are challenging. Not too long & very playable. The crew does a nice job keeping it in decent shape with the challenges of having a lot of shade and pine trees. I am a 10-15 handicapper who plays often...

My husband and I spent a couple nights in Monte Rio CA to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived late in the afternoon and wanted a late lunch. The only place open at that time was the Northwood Golf Club. Beggars can't be choosers so we decided to give it a try. Altho the golf course is right on the main...

My wife and I drove up from Napa to play this gem in the trees. Found a coupon for $5 off in the wine country guide which made it even better. Paid $80 total for us both which included green fees, club rental, and power cart. We were joined by one of the local members Barbara who helped make the...

Beautiful setting

After a long journey and arriving at our hotel to be told that they had closed the restaurant for the season, we headed out to the golf club. The setting is amazing set in the redwood trees. We had our lunch outside, took a little while for the staff to acknowledge us, but when they did the service was good...
