Location is ideal, both for getting to many different tourist sites, and because it is in such a safe neighborhood. I'm not an experienced traveler so I recommend checking other reviews besides mine, but my teenaged son and I could not find anything at all wrong with this hotel.
The Newbury Guest House is outstanding overall; convenient to everything with a real community feeling of Boston. My only recommendation would be to update the room carpets due to old stains. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfasts and easy short walk to the convention center.
