Highlights include reproductions of the green pickup-camper from Travels with Charley and the bunkroom from Of Mice and Men. Steinbeck House, the author's Victorian birthplace, at 132 Central Avenue, is two blocks from...

This is a "must see" for anyone who appreciates Steinbeck and the Salinas Valley. Both movies are very informative. It takes a couple of hours to see all the wonderful exhibits. The gift shop is great and has every Steinbeck book available for purchase. My husband and I visited with our two children (13 and 11 years). Our kids enjoyed it, too. We left with Steinbeck books to fall in love with!

Wonderful place! I don't go to it enough. Hopefully with new leadership, more events will happen here and expose it to people who don't know that it exists.
