I understand your conserns but would like to say that I went through the program and worked for them for about one year. After 29 years of drug abuse, Narconon helped me get clean when other programs did not.I am not a Scientologist. I am a Christian and Narconon never tried to convert me. I would just ask that you not judge something too harshly that you do not fully understand.

Narconon is a front for Scientology. Average cost is $30,000-$35,000, most insurance companies will not cover. Narconon uses Scientology materials written by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, these same materials are used in Scientology basic courses. Students are subjected to dangerously high doses of Niacin & lengthy sauna sessions. Students are not allowed to take medications, not even Tylenol for headaches or prescribed medications for high blood pressure or seizures. Staff are comprised of former students and addicts. Drug & alcohol use amongst staff is rampant at the facilities....

Be sure to do your homework. Find out about Narconon's links to Scientology. And look at all sides of the organization with a glossy PR front and secretive militaristic core. If Narconon's employees' intentions are good, which I have no doubt most are, the management is probably at best unprofessional due to its strict adherence to Scientology management techniques.

I checked in with them for a problem I was having with drugs. A friend of mine went there and went on to live a sober successful life, so I owed it to myself to do it as well. They really care about the success of their patients. They have a very high success rate. To anyone thats struggling with drug abuse - take your life back -- check in!
