Mykonos Greek Restaurant

I am a huge fan of Greek food, so I love this place. I am not Greek, though, so I can't testify as to whether the food is completely authentic or not, but it tastes pretty darn good. I have Greek friends who come here and like it.

The saganaki, taramosalata, skordalia, and crema caramele are divine. The wait staff is extremely nice, too.

My daughter and I went here for lunch. The décor is fresh and bright with theur blues and bright white reminding me of Greece, Around the perimeter is a raised seating area which we particularly like.

The food was tasty and came out pretty quickly. .We tried several appetizers since they had a number that sounded so good. The only one that disappointed a bit was the eggplant spread - I always get that at Greek restaurants and theirs was only mediocre. Of course the saganaki was delish. Our entrees were also good.

Wow, I can't begin to describe how impressed I was by Mykonos, but I'll try! I've been to quite a few Greek places in the 'burbs and Greektown I think this is a close to Yiayia's kitchen as it gets. We went on a Monday night and were seated right away, although the place filled up pretty quickly.

I ordered the pasticio w/ peas and also tried some of my dad's kapama. Both were outstanding! The pasticio was fluffy with lots of distinct flavors and the peas were fresh and delicious. The chicken in the kapama was very tender, nearly fell off the bone. The sauce was spot on and the...

So, me and my boyfriend come here almost once per week. This has been his place for years, so I have to admit to being a "hanger on" if you will. I have never eaten so much Greek food as I have in the past year and all from here, and I have to say that I have never been disappointed. The dishes are consistent and having gone their quite often there is still plenty of food for me to try that I have not yet had. My favorite dish is the Neframia (spelling). It is roast lamb and the skin is crispy and salty and delicious.
