This hotel is a great location close to shopping, cafes, bars, nightlife, theatrical theaters (yet we didn't have tickets to a show so will go next time in town). This was a surprising little treat while I was on vacation with my boyfriend and sister!

I went for tea with my daughter and it was totally overpriced. The food was very mediocre although the service was good until the end when I couldn't get the check. When I did get it, they tried to add a 20% gratuity to the check for two people and call it tax. This is just offensive. We just stayed here during a week's vacation. The location is ideal (especially if you don't have a car): It's near the Cable Car and Muni Metro transportation hubs that can get you all over the city. This hotel ROCKS. The staff is so friendly and on top of things. The rooms are quaint and a very good deal for the amenities that are included. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
