Small dishes tasty dishes a lot like tapas style. Delish food but you have to make sure you order enough to get full. Not a typical sushi joint. Can get pricey.

Good vibes at this cozy izakaya on Wilshire just off the promenade. Wonderful Japanese-Korean-fusion food, attentive service, and they serve both hot and cold sake. With a happy attitude! Highly recommended.

Everything is wonderful in this intimate but lively Japanese restaurant. My favorites are the grilled saki-marinated salmon, tofu fries, green bean salad, crunchy rice with pickle. You have to call ahead. It's always packed.
