I drove my car in weeks ago to have the check engine light looked at and was told it only needed minor repairs. 2 hours later I receive a call saying my engine is gone and it is undriveable!! The manager claims it was nothing they did?

I drove my car in 2 weeks ago to have the check engine light looked at and was told it only needed minor repairs. 2 hours later I receive a call saying my engine is gone and it is undriveable!! The manager claims it was nothing they did and the engine would have gone soon anyway (not their fault he says). Might I add i had no noticeable issues before I dropped it off. After waiting 2 weeks to hear from their insurance people just to tell me they would not pay a claim to help cover repair or replacement.... Colony Tire also said they wouldn't do anything to help fix even though I drove in...
