Mr Mike's Place

Lacon - Good food/reasonble price. I love the Chicago Dogs (with everything, of course) and their delcious Tenderloins (with everything, of course). My grandson says the cheese fries are great! You can eat inside or out on a picnic bench overlooking the Illinois River. I have yet to try their Italian Beef Sandwich, but everyone says it is great.

I have grown up with this place. When boating we would stop and order food. They have the best Italian Beef sandwich. Also, the Gyro rivals anything that you can get in Chicago. If you are out boating or driving through Lacon, this is a definite stop.

Mr. Mike's Place in Lacon is a small Italian sandwich shop. Now
with that being said, you will not find a better sandwich anywhere.
My personal favorites are the Italian sausage and Italian Beef. But
there is so much to choose from. They also have a great Chicago Style
Hot Dog. The food is wonderful and so are the prices. You can eat in or
carry out. This place is located right on the Illinois...
