Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, Mr. B's Bistro is located at the intersection of Royal Street and Iberville, one of New Orleans' most celebrated food corners. Since 1979, Mr. B's has been an integral part of an on-going process of redefining New Orleans cooking. Mr. B's is proud to offer regional Creole cuisine strong in its flavorful ties both to New Orleans and to South Louisiana. We embrace the challenge for simple and honest food in a "bistro" style. For an all occasion business lunch, a festive jazz brunch or dinner, we strive to deliver a great dining experience to our guests. Mr. B's signature dishes include word famous Barbequed Shrimp - served in their shells with a peppery butter sauce and French bread for dipping and Gumbo Ya Ya - a rich, country style gumbo with chicken and andouille sausage. Great Creole food prepared by longtime Executive Chef Michelle McRaney paired with James Beard award wining service makes Mr. B's the perfect dining destination for a quintessential New Orleans experience. "Great food shared with wonderful friends is what makes Mr. B's 'Simply Legendary'" says Managing Partner Cindy Brennan. We hope that you will be pleased with the continuing tradition of creativity which has made Mr. B's a culinary leader thus far!

Operations may be disrupted due to COVID-19. Be sure to contact the restaurant to find out its current status and offerings.Mr. B's Bistro Restaurant Review

Mr. B's Bistro is situated on one of the most high-traffic corners in the French Quarter. Chef Michelle McRaney has helmed the kitchen for more than 20 years, but the offerings remain innovative, appealing equally to locals and out-of-towners. Partitions of dark wood and etched glass as well as lacy café curtains serve as the backdrop for green vinyl banquettes lining the walls. Gentle sounds...

The Scene
With marble tabletops and lots of dark wood, Mr. B's is on the ritzy side of bistro casual, with a touch of deco on the side. Since it's within easy walking distance of the CBD,... Pros + attentive wait staff

This is the second time the shrimp in the shrimp and grits were way overcooked! It’s like they were cooked ahead and”reheated “. I have not said anything as we have had guests both times, I hope our guests food was cooked properly.

Mr.B’s was our first culinary experience on our first visit to New Orleans 12 years ago. We have been back several times since, and we make it a point to have at least 1 meal here each time we visit. Exceptional food, ambiance, and service!
