We had 3 rooms for this trip, and we were all satisfied. This is definitely nicer than any other 1 star hotel I've ever stayed in - the rooms are much more modern than the pictures I saw online - so we were pleasantly surprised!\n\nWould have been nice to have free wi-fi, instead of paying. The best part about staying at Motel 6 West Des Moines is by far the staff. My girlfriend and I probably stay at the lhotel 5 to 10 times a year easily and it's always a pleawsure to see The Smiling Faces at the desk always willing to help.\n\nNo

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. She helped us switch rooms so we could check in early even though there were many others checking in as well. I also liked the laminate in the rooms. Made the room feel cleaner than most hotets.\n\nThe walls are far from soundproof, so it was very loud since there was a large group of people repeatedly slamming doors and talking loudly...
