What the community has to say about Mosaic Restaurants-Downtown

Information about this business (4)

Open since December 2004, it's easy to see why Mosaic is getting such rave reviews. Besides being awarded locally as the River Front Times and Sauce gave them the acclaim and title "Best New Restaurant and Best Fusion" 2005, they are also getting national attention with such celebrities as Bill Murray and Dick Vital who dined at Mosaic during the NCAA Championship.

Street Tuxedo is a family owned, value based business serving the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area for over twenty years. Because we are not a large chain, we take special interest in personal service, and we value your business. Street Tuxedo also carries many styles and sizes in our three locations, for those last minute orders or changes. Please call for an appointment today or stop by...

Located in central loft district on Washington Avenue, this stunning modern fusion restaurant is an eye-pleasing mix of granite tables, high ceilings, tall windows and a beautifully designed curvaceous freestanding bar with exquisite black galaxy granite top. Beneath that striking display of wall art, a row of Bunsen burner-style candelabra anchors a small lounge area with seating pillows along...

Mosaic Restaurant Review

During the day, tapas-style dining is de-emphasized due to Mosaic’s popularity with the business crowd. In the evening, rules about snitching from someone else’s plate are more relaxed. During your tapas-style feast, plan on butter-poached lobster tail with bacon-truffle emulsion; limoncello mussels, compressed watermelon and goat cheese; or cherry-port braised short ribs. A long wait

The service was too slow, as we waited 20-30 minutes between our second and third courses of a 4 course meal. Unless you like waiting for your food, I would not recommend it.

A great dining experience

My parents, husband and I recently dined at Mosaic during Downtown St. Louis's Restaurant Week. From the moment we pulled up to the free valet parking until we finished the last bite of dessert, we had a very enjoyable experience. The ambience was great, our server was diligent and very knowledgable, and the food was quite tasty. Obviously, as it is a tapas place, don't count on huge portions,...

Slow service, small portions

Our service was slow - he was nice but took a long time to do anything, including bringing the check. (he didn't bring us the check until about 15 minutes after we were done with dessert and coffee - normally the check would come with dessert, and it should!)They were out of the wine we ordered and didn't really have a great substitute. The food was pretty good, although gnocci was a bit...

Great find in St. Louis

The restaurant was very good. The small plates were unique. I really liked the grilled broccoli. The offerings would please the most discriminating palates. The wine choices were outstanding. The service was excellent. If I find myself in town again, this is a must.

Unique taste

I have visited Mosaic twice. Like many tapas bars, the taste are unique and sometimes surprising. I highly recommend Mosaic to anyone who wishes to provide their taste buds with a real treat.

Weddings, Prom

Mosaic is a popular hangout with locals and out-of-towners. And that's because the fusion small plates at Mosaic are simply delectable and not too hard on the wallet. The chef experiments with ingredients and whips up tasty morsels of rabbit, mushrooms, fried calamari, oysters, shrimp, eggs, and tuna. Check the bar for potent drinks and not-so-heady ports and sherries. And when you're done,...

Mosaic is a American (New), Tapas, and Eclectic restaurant where most Menuism users came for a business meeting, paid between $10 and $25, and tipped more than 18%.
