They are nice here, and this is the best ambiance in a dining establishment in Amherst. This is where I bring friends from out of town. The food is moderate to good, and the prices are a bit more "big city prices". Therefor, I don't eat there a whole lot. But again, when I want a nice relaxing place, right in the middle of town, or somewhere to impress out-of-towners, this is where I go.

Stopped in to have a cup of coffee. I was greeted by the pleasant and aromatic smells of freshly brewed coffee and breakfast type foods. So-so food last year when we went there on a Sunday morning, plus we were overcharged. The place is now out of business.

Morning Star has been around for a long time (used to be Amherst coffee Company)- Pretty high priced, although the food is pretty good. Coffee is a little strong for my taste, and the food is a little expensive..Neat place to stop, though.

We visited on an early November morning and it was FREEZING in this place! We didn't get the warm, cozy coffeehouse experience we wanted. We ordered egg sandwiches, french toast, and coffee. It's simple and good.
