When a mortgage check was accidentally sent to them in the amount of over $1,000.00! The owner deposited the check in his account and refuses to return any of the funds! The check was, in fact made out to the mortgage company (not to monument mini storage!) however, he (the owner) found a way to deposit it! And, yes-I know his bank (Wachovia) is at fault as well! But, for over 7 years we have paid monument mini storage $80.00 every month without ever being late! Not once! So, there are absolutely no outstanding fees owded to them from us!! As was the case with our mortgage payment-however, now (for the 1st time)-We are being charged a late fee by the mortgage co.! Also, as soon as we realized the error (about a day later)of putting the checks in the wrong envelopes (which is a mistake that happens all the time!) we went to talk to the storage owner about what happened, he said "it's not my problem so I am not returning the money", then walked away laughing! Yes-actually laughing! This could have so very easily been cleared up! But, because this guy is a crook and chose to knowingly deposit (steal) this money that was not his! Action will be taken against him-promptly! I wonder if he will be laughing then!?!?!!!

I am currently investigating them with detectives, the police, and an attorney because they "don't know where" my second key is although I let them have it in case I ever lost mine because they offered. I have found the new managers helpful, courteous and super honest, The units are a bit old but in good repair. I would highly recommend this facility.
They are such genuinely sweet & helpful people. The units are clean & the site is safe. I normally have the worst luck of anyone around... Not this time!!! I WON!!!
