Editorial reviews from the web (1)

Sibling to the Manhattan originals, this "busy" Summit Japanese BYO dishes out "generous portions" of "consistently good", "fresh" sushi; some think the "novelty has faded", and knock the fare as "overpriced" and service in "need of improvement", but the "fun", "large" setting with monster movie posters appeals to "families with children."

Food was always decent and they were good to young families, but unfortunately they couldn't compete and are closing their doors.

Great sushi rolls

I had the sushi pizza, and a couple appetizer rolls. The sushi pizza looked like a pizza (somewhat) with a crust (tempura) and rice, topped by very good quality tuna, and a sauce to simulate the look of cheese. Disliked that I couldn't get a beer with my dinner, but they pointed out that there was a liquor store a...

Good Sushi, with a Mexican Twist

Monster is always a reasonable place for a good sushi meal. Their specialty rolls and dishes are very good (Soba, Udon, Teriyaki, etc.) and the service is generally timely and courteous. A nice place for a good sushi / Japanese meal.

I'm not a big sushi guy. Actually I'm very predictable when it comes to sushi. It's been a few years since I started eating sushi but I always tend use my first experience as the default and the one I compare other sushi bars/restaurant to (Banzai in Honolulu, Hawaii). Now to the food. The food is quite expensive so get ready to lose an arm and a leg relative to what we pay in Haiku in New York...
