Small and intimate, but can be noisy if there is a large party. The food was wonderful, prepared and served with the appropriate spacing between courses. Loved the Watermellon salad with the mint vinegerette dressing . The service was friendly, caring and genuine. This being the first visit, treated us like we were regulars. The owners, Todd and eloisa, were on the premises and greeted everyone.

Last night a friend and I went to Mono with appetizers and wine in mind. It was the first time for both of us at this restaurant so when I saw my friend drive by the location the waiter ran outside to help flag her down and find parking. So nice! We couldn't decide between two Tempranillo wine choices so the waiter let us taste both. Again, so nice! We enjoyed a beet & goat cheese salad,...

Great new place in Oakland. Although menu is small, the preparation of each dish is very well done -- very fresh and seasonal. Wine by the glass list is awsome and very reasonable. Many European and south American wines. Service is friendly and paced to your needs.
