Epicurean dim sum

Review Rating
Not just another dim sum restaurant...be sure to try the abalone and mushroom dumpling, green tea-colored and juicy. And of course the usual favorites, like pork siu mai...topped with a little caviar. You order your dim sum from a menu instead of the usual carts that go round, and prompt and attentive waiters bring it quickly to your table. The prices are slightly higher than other dim sum restaurants, but then the experience is slightly more like fine dining. The hustle and bustle and noise of the dim sum dining experience are still present, but the restaurant is so huge, the noise seems toned down. If you like your dim sum made with attention to detail and taste, this would be a great restaurant for you.

The Scene Symbolic of L.A.'s endless cultural transmutations, this century-old Spanish mission-style former city hall has become a Chinese dim sum palace of the first order. The gorgeous architecture remains and features white walls, tile floors, oak beams and a magical courtyard under a 100-year-old grapevine canopy. Three big rooms serve elegant meals, from dim sum to dinner. more

The peking duck was wonderful. The bread it comes with was great and the duck skin very tasty. They also served the duck meat which was meatier than usual.

I love sui mui. This one has sticky rice inside the skin of it though along with Chinese sausage bits. While it was good I still prefer regular sui mui.
