Situated on the lake front, this stunning architectural achievement of renowned Finnish architect Eero Saarinen is a premier location for weddings, corporate events and meetings. The beautiful Memorial Hall features sweeping views of downtown Milwaukee through floor-to-ceiling windows, while the outdoor plaza offers spectacular panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Calatrava addition to the...

The Milwaukee Art Museum had its origin in two institutions, the Layton Art Gallery , which was established in 1888, and the Milwaukee Art Institute, founded in the early 1900s. These two institutions joined forces in 1957 to form the private, nonprofit Milwaukee Art Center (now the Milwaukee Art Museum), and moved to its current lakefront location.

The Milwaukee Art Museum has four floors and over 40 galleries that feature European and American art from the 15th to the 20th Century. The museum hosts temporary exhibits that highlight paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, folk art, prints, and decorative art. I recently became a member of the MAM and am very happy with the benefits of the membership, making visiting even better. However, even without a membership, it's a spectacular gem in Milwaukee. Not only the exhibits, but the building itself, especially with the recent new renovations.
Worth a visit!
