Editorial reviews from the web (2)

"Comfortable" and "quiet enough" for "conversation", the "beautiful" room at this "little touch of France" in the Waterfront's Intercontinental Hotel comes with a "bonus" harbor view that's even better from the patio; the Provençal fare is "creative" too, so "bring your mom" for a "lovely", "reasonable" meal; P.S. a post-Survey renovation outdates the Decor score.

InterContinental houses chic, Provencal French-accented fare

Miel is a brasserie that puts a strong focus on the fruits of Provence (herbs, honey and olive oil). The soft, warm-hued dining area is suitable for a business breakfast of a late-night burger....

Miel? Not so much

Staying at the Intercontinental, the convenience of dining in the hotel was too easy to pass up. I expected better quality (if not more creativity) and better service for the exorbitant prices being charged. Even though the restaurant was less than half filled, I had...

Food was great and the service, unbeatable

I recently took my girlfriend to this restaurant in celebration of her birthday and I have to say, it quite possibly could have been the best experience we've ever had eating out in Boston. To put a little bit of context behind that, she's quite...

Great food, breathtaking view, perfect wine..and...then there's Paul

We recognize many think miel is primarily for hotel guests...but we know otherwise....we've been coming here for years now... For the delicious food, great fresh raw bar items, wine and bubbly hand picked for us.....and the view..gorgeous....but perhaps most importantly- the staff....ivy, mohammed, georgina, fred,...

Fabulous Saturday afternoon

We spent Saturday afternoon at Miel enjoying the Rose tasting with Paul the Sommelier. It was absolutely perfect. His knowledge of the wines was extremely impressive and the appetizers that were paired with the wines were fantastic. With a view like that that, fabulous wine,...

Hotel restaurant, so overpriced but good

Like all restaurants in hotels, the food is way overpriced. However, if you are trapped, the food is better than average. A good place to have a drink as well

Business description (4)

French: As Boston's first Provence-themed brasserie, Miel has asserted itself into the city as more than just a hotel restaurant, and has created a following of locals who come for the food, ambiance and their extensive selection of rose.

Meaning honey in French, Miel takes its name quite seriously. Housing a collection of hives on the roof of its fifth floor, Miel not only takes pride in...

Boston’s first Provence themed brasserie, Miel "Brasserie Provençale" celebrates the organic flavors of France’s Côte d’Azur region, focusing on herbs, lavender, honey and olive oil.

Miel seats 120 people and features its own private dining room, "The Olive Oil Museum,” with seating for 12. In a twist of new and old, Miel showcases a classic New England Raw Bar. Additional outdoor seating will...

Taste French Provencal cuisine in a beautiful ambiance. Located within the InterContinental Boston, the restaurant accommodates up to 54 people and gives them an evening to remember. Chef Jacques Chibois brings to Boston the flavors and aromas from Provence. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements, and there is also a private dining room called 'Olive Oil Museum' which can seat...
