What the community has to say about Midori's Floating World Cafe

Information about this business (1)

Editorial reviews from the web (1)

This Longfellow-Lake neighborhood is clearly thrilled to have its own funky, friendly sushi bar.

In Short
This tiny storefront off Lake Street pulls off a popular sushi experience without attitude. Patrons don't dress up, and the vibe is as good as the food. Sushi chefs work...

Good food, I went at off hours so I was the only person in the place. Service was good, food fresh and tasty. Atmosphere so so.

The very best vegetarian sushi I have ever tasted, and I have sampled sushi everywhere in the Twin Cities. Midori's is more than sushi, you will be happy with the choices. I wish they were closer to where I live.

Again and again, Midori's proves to have the most consistent and excellent food and service. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Portions are always very fresh, well presented, and generous without being hefty. I feel like I get a very good amount of food for a great price, and the quality is unmatched. The specials and happy hour deals are unbeatable. I love supporting my little...

Tips about this business (3)

Know Before You Go

Midori offers more than 30 varieties of tea, including an "art tea" that displays a red lily. But the sake varieties are also worth trying at Midori's, like its newest addition, the sweet-tasting Nigiri sake.

What to Drink

Avoid the few Celestial Seasonings brand teas--there are dozens of much more interesting fresh loose leaf varieties available.

The Extras

For a conversation piece, order the Spam sushi. This Minnesota-made meat is reportedly popular in Hawaii, and comes shaped like a pig, wearing a seaweed belt.
