Avoid this Quack

Very, Very dissatisfied with Dr. Kent Kyger. We took our 5 year old daughter in for an evaluation on recommendation from our family doctor. On our first visit, while we were still filling our paperwork out, the doctor wanted to see our daughter. Fair enough. We were suppose to be involved in this evaluation, so we figured no harm since the paperwork would be done quick enough and we could go watch (as we are suppose to). No sooner did we get done, 20 minutes later, he came back with a diagnosis of ADHD and already had some drugs written up for her to start taking immediately. He wouldn't even explain this to both of us, just the mother. Excuse me? This was 20 minutes of watching a little girl that you don't know anything about and it's time to stick her on pills. No, I don't think so. You don't diagnose ADHD for someone you've never met in under 20 minutes. What a quack! We are taking her to another "specialist" who will do a proper diagnosis and have the nerve to talk to us about it. Parents be warned, don't let this guy stick your kids on pills just because he's in a hurry. Parents be warned of any quack who labels your kids as ADHD, ADD, etc. in only one short visit. A real specialist works with the kids and parents to make sure they are not misdiagnosed with the condition.

I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious, which made me feel a lot safer. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the...

I have taken my son to Dr Kyger for almost a year. I am VERY displeased with the care and service he has received. The only time I have gotten to speak with Dr Kyger concerning my son's progress is in the waiting room among everone waiting for their appt. I guess they haven't heard of the HIPAA Privacy Laws. We go for his appts and he is taken back to the office, then he comes out with a prescription and an appt card for the next appt. NO COMMUNICATION with me, his mother about the plan of care or the diagnosis. Also, the office staff is TERRIBLE! Extremely rude, disorganized. I've...
