Doesn't keep fresh cars on the lot. Some of the vehicles have been there a while and are nothing but unusable garbage. Very hazardous to walk around. Parts strewn everywhere. Prices are way to high. The parts yard off of Lamar is much better. Bought $8.00 worth of stuff and said it had to be $10.00 to use my debit card. Isn't that illegal?
Do you know that U-Pull-It Autoparts on 1515 North Watkins hands out business cards saying "Bring Your Own Tools"? - Continue Reading
Went inside to look for a part with a friend, I came back out 40 minutes later to find items (tools) stolen from the back of my truck - I looked around and saw 5 cameras - NONE covering the parking lot.
So, U-Pull-It Autoparts has security... Just not for customers.
quote: " The very selective security, designed to make customers feel like they aren't being watched, maximizes potential for thieves to operate with impunity. Additionally, I do not believe the operators of U-Pull-It Autoparts could not have missed this important point except deliberately and for the previously stated reason."-
Weather by design or incompetence, a business like this one needs to protect clients property While on the business property. - If you cannot tell the police the make and model of the car or help in any way to identify the suspect who stole my tools, then you own me the replacement of my tools. - Police report 1009016113ME - www.upullitsucks.com - Count on me to continue reporting this fact until my tools are returned or replaced. - R. My husband has his own business and has been getting parts here since they have been there, usually with no problem. On 10/15/10 he purchased a transmission for $99. It was no good, so, he attempted to return it on 11//10/10. Their marking (their name) was clearly on the trans, but Neil told him it was not theirs. Told my husband that he was barred from the property; he didn't want him on the property anymore. My husband called the police, who told him it was a civil matter (which it was), but when they saw the company's marking on the trans, they went in to talk to manager and told him that his markings were on the trans, so, my husband had evidently bought it there and he would have to give him his money back. So, he got his money back but was barred from property because he stood up for his rights. To deedubya3800--you're right and that's exactly why these businesses keep doing what they do. When they know they can get over on you, they do, but when they find someone who stands up for right, they bar them. My husband is like you, he probably would have gone back, but I don't shop where the service is bad, unscrupulous and bigoted, so, I wouldn't and if more people would care how they and others are treated, businesses would too. When I called to get the owner's name and contact info, Neil, the general manager refused to give it to me, said he could handle anything "that goes on here." Fortunately, I know how to get that information myself.
This lot was pretty organized! They have a wide inventory of cars and you are more than likely gonna find what you are looking for. Also, there seems to be people chilling there who don't work...
