Almost anyone who's ever been within striking distance of San Antonio has heard of this Market Square restaurant, open since 1941. I am from texas and had heard so much about this place. Finally went during my hurricane ike evacuation. The place is hard to find and parking good luck. The inside was nicely decorated very nice. This is a def. must for the San Antonio first timer or any tourist. The Mexican food is great and very authentic. It can get kind of crowded because it's located on the Market Square strip (another must). Ive lived in san antonio all 21 years of my life and i finally went here for my sister in laws graduation... The food is way overpriced and not very good at all. My food was cold. the beer is expensive and the margaritas werent bery good. Its a place for tourist who have never eaten mexican food to come and think it is the best. go to las palapas or a jalisco the food is way better.
