I went there at 5:30 on a Tuesday and was told they were not serving pizza that night and to come back on Thursday. What kind of pizza restaurant does not serve pizza?

My husband and I have been coming here at least once a month since Pizzeria Mezzo opened and have experienced nothing but fantastic pizza, salads, bbq meats, wine and beer. There will be full bar service coming soon. The service, even on busy weekend nights is good. The owner is on site most evenings and is overseeing the whole operation...

I've been several times. Sometimes the pizza is excellent, other times the crust is burnt to a crisp, and still other times the crust is undercooked. I don't really understand the inconsistency. The meat skewers have a very strong taste of the wood used in the oven, it is overpowering (at least for the chicken it was).

This is a do not miss restaurant. Very simple menu: wood fired grilled pizza and kabobs! Delicious. The meal is served with fresh Italian bread with olive oil. The pizza sauce is delicious and pepperoni and sausage are fresh -- from NYC. The kabobs are served with a nice side salad. Everything is nicely priced. Must try the sirloin tip...
