You really can't go wrong here. Authentic Mexican, very good. Cheap. Fun, relaxed environment. That said, it's not quite a five-star restaurant; let's be realistic. But four-stars fits very nicely if I do say so.
I mention the smell in my "Cons." I wish it didn't bother me, but, what can I say, it did. Kinda musty, close to mildew. Old building, old city, I get it. Still. Not pleasant.

Mexican Town is right off of I75 in Detroit, near Clark and Vernor. I love the food and it has a wonderful bakery called Lunas 2. You can try El Rancho or many other places for dinner and drinks. I always have a great time there. They have live spanish music at several of the restaraunts and lotsof shopping. Try it, you'll love it.
Mexican Town is a fantastic place to eat in Detroit. It is located on Bagley St, (it will be easy to get to when the Mexican Town exit is done) and there is parking on the street and a lot not far away. The staff is amazing, fast and friendly.
But the food....the menu is extensive and all yummy! I love the enchalidas, chicken ones are tasty. You have to try this place!
